WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's basketball team looks to continue the momentum from an overtime victory over Lafayette when its hosts Loyola on Saturday at Christl Arena. The Black Knights and Greyhounds tip off on the Patriot League Network at 1 p.m.

STORYLINES
Tanner Plomb and Kevin Ferguson returned to the starting lineup at Lafayette on Wednesday night and combined for 39 points and 20 rebounds in the overtime victory. Army trailed by as many as 18 points, including 15 at halftime, but erased its largest deficit since 1996 in a victory en route to the 84-81 triumph. The win snapped a four-game losing skid for the Black Knights.
Loyola enters Saturday's game with a 6-5 Patriot League mark following a 71-66 setback at Lehigh. The Greyhounds had won their previous three games and will look to even the season series with Army after a 74-59 loss in early January. Last season, Loyola defeated Army at West Point last season, 77-71.
Plomb is averaging 21.4 points per game this season which leads the Patriot League and ranks 16th in the nation. He has scored in double figures in 28 straight games dating back to last season after a 22-point and 10-rebound double-double against Lafayette. He has 15 performances of at least 20 points during the streak.
Ferguson also posted a double-double, the ninth of his career, with 17 points and 10 boards in the overtime triumph. The 6-10 senior center scored all 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds after halftime and became the eighth player in Academy history to reach the 600-rebound mark for his career.
Dylan Cox also had a milestone night against Lafayette as he became to Academy's all-time leader in assists (433). Cox passed Randy Cozzens '85 (430 career assists) and was also one of four Army players to score in double figures with 13 points. Army is 6-0 this season when four players score at least 10 points.
Army has played 14 games with its regular starting lineup of Cox, Kyle Wilson, Plomb, Larry Toomey and Ferguson. In those games, Army is 9-5 and averaging 83.1 points per game and outscoring its opponents by 4.1 points per game. Plomb averages 22.5 points per game, Wilson is scoring 17.5, Cox has a 66-32 assist-to-turnover ratio, Ferguson averages 11.8 points and 8.8 rebounds and Army is averaging 10.4 threes per game.
In the nine games without its full complement of starters, Army's scoring has dropped to 71.4 points per game and the Black Knights are making only 8.4 threes per game. The Black Knights are 4-5 in those games.
Overall, the Black Knights have the 37th-ranked offensive tempo in the country according to Ken Pomeroy. Army's offense has an adjusted tempo of 73.3, which is an estimate of the possessions per 40 minutes a team would have against the average D-I tempo. Army's average offensive possession length is 14.9 seconds, which is 11th in the nation.
Together, Wilson and Plomb were the top scoring duo in the Patriot League last year with an average of 33.3 points per game. Wilson was first in scoring in the conference at 17.5 points per game, while Plomb ranked fourth overall with a 15.8 points per game average. Plomb (21.4) and Wilson (16.6) are the top scoring duo in the Patriot League in 2015-16.
NEW VISITOR POLICY AT WEST POINT
Starting Jan. 10, people using a driver's license from the states of Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico or Washington will have to use another approved form of identification in order to enter West Point and all other military installations, due to federal guidelines. If you possess a valid Department of Defense issued identification card, this new requirement does not affect your ability to enter military installations.
Acceptable alternate forms of identification are a U.S. passport, a permanent resident card/Alien Registration Receipt Card (form 1-551), a foreign passport with a temporary I-551 stamp or visa or an employment authorization document that contains a photograph (Form I-766).
