Army Readies for Regular Season Finale

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point volleyball team closes-out the regular season at home Friday and Saturday. The Black Knights are one win shy of clinching a Patriot League Tournament berth and hope to get two this weekend against Lehigh and Bucknell.

DETAILS
- Friday's match will be held at 7 p.m. in Gillis Field House, while Saturday's Senior Day celebration will begin 10 minutes prior to the 4 p.m. match.
- Last weekend, Army went 2-0 with a sweep over Lafayette and a five-set victory over service academy rival Navy.
- Plebe Haven Bethune was named the Army Athletics Athlete of the Week and Patriot League Rookie of the Week due to her 80 assist performance last weekend. Bethune notched a career-high 55 assists against Navy while also recording her fifth double-double of the season.
SCOUTING LEHIGH
- Lehigh also enters the weekend in hopes of clinching a playoff spot. The team is currently fourth in league standings with a 13-15 overall record and 8-6 mark in the Patriot League.
- The Mountain Hawks handed American its first PL loss this season with a 3-0 score.
- Ana Spangenberg was named the Patriot League Player of the Week after leading all players with 16 kills and a .609 hitting percentage against American.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
- Bucknell will play its final match of the season Saturday against Army. The Bison has a 5-21 overall record are 3-11 in league contests.
- Last weekend, Bucknell faced Colgate for a mid-week tilt and Loyola on Friday. The Bison fell in both contests with 3-1 scores.
- Sophie Bullard leads Bucknell's offense with 2.41 kills per set and is followed by Bridgette Holland who boasts 2.29 kills per set and a .232 hitting percentage.
- The Bison split time in the setters position with Selby Schnobrich (6.61 assists/set) and Luz Nagle (5.56 a/s) running the floor.
