Men’s Soccer on the Road for Two League Matches

WEST POINT, N.Y. – With four games remaining in the regular season, the Army West Point men's soccer team returns to the road for its next three contests, beginning with a road tilt at Colgate on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. The Black Knights are back on the field this weekend to face Boston University on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in Boston, Mass.

The Army-Colgate rivalry dates all the way back to Army's first varsity season in 1921, with the Black Knights owning a 34-25-5 advantage in the series. The Raiders claimed a 2-1 victory at West Point in last season's game and hold a 3-2-0 lead in the last five meetings.
Army trails Boston University, 2-5-1, in a series dating back to 1978. The Black Knights are 1-2-1 versus the Terriers in Patriot League matches, after Boston University joined the conference before the 2013 season. The Cadets and the Terriers played to a 1-1 draw at West Point last season, with Cody Guerry accounting for the game-tying goal.
PATRIOT LEAGUE STANDINGS
Three Patriot League games remain, as Army currently stands fourth in the conference with 10 points. The top six teams qualify for the Patriot League Tournament, with the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds earning a bye to the semifinals.

• Army played to a 2-2 draw against Loyola in its last outing on Oct. 22.
• Freshman Rex Epps scored his league-leading ninth goal of the season versus the Greyhounds and the Black Knights benefitted from a Loyola own goal.
• Epps was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time this year and is currently one of four freshmen in Division I to have at least nine goals. His nine tallies are the most for an Army player since Thomas Obaseki (USMA '01) scored nine in 1998.
• Justin Stoll averaged 7.5 saves in two games last week and paces the Patriot League in goals against average (.867) and save percentage (.837).
COLGATE (10-4-1, 4-1-1 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• Colgate picked up a 1-0 home win over Navy on Oct. 22.
• Aram Ouligian scored the lone goal in the 38th minute and was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week.
• Zach Pagani leads the Raiders with five goals this year, while Jared Stroud has a team-best seven assists.
• Colgate is 7-2-0 at home this season, with its only home defeats coming against nonleague opponents Cornell and New Hampshire.
BOSTON UNIVERSITY (5-6-2, 1-3-2 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• Boston University fell to a 1-0 setback at Lehigh last time out on Oct. 22.
• The loss halted a three-game unbeaten streak that featured 1-0 victories over Dartmouth and Lafayette.
• The Terries have yet to pick up a road win this season and hold a 5-2-0 record at home.
• Boston University is on the road to face Holy Cross on Oct. 26 before welcoming Army this weekend.
