Cadets to Take on Bucknell, Lehigh

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point volleyball team continues is road series as it travels to Bucknell and Lehigh this Friday and Saturday for two Patriot League contests. The Black Knights will face the Bison on Oct. 14 and the Mountain Hawks on Oct. 15. This will conclude the first half of the conference schedule for the Cadets.  Â

DETAILS
- Army went 1-1 last weekend with a win over Lafayette (3-0) and a loss to Navy (3-0).
- The Black Knights earned its greatest margin of victory in a set when it topped the Leopards 25-9
- Carolyn Bockrath fueled the Cadets with 2.52 points per set and 2.26 kills per set. She has also posted a .345 hitting percentage this season over the weekend.
- Vanessa Wesley averages 3.17 points per set and 2.64 kills per set with 174 total and is hitting .337.
- Haven Bethune dishes out 9.38 assists per set and has also added 14 service aces.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
- Bucknell is 4-14 overall and 2-4 in the Patriot League after splitting a pair of league matches. The Bison rolled to a 3-0 win at Loyola (Md.) on Saturday, but dropped a five-set match at home to Colgate on Monday.
- The win over Loyola was Bucknell's fifth straight in the series with the Greyhounds.
- The Bison pushed Colgate to five sets for the first time since beating the Raiders 3-2 in 2010.
- Bucknell has recorded 15 aces over the past two matches, including a season-high 10 in the win over the Greyhounds.Â
SCOUTING LEHIGH
- Lehigh is 4-2 in the Patriot League, tied with Army for third place, and has an overall record of 9-11.
- The Mountain Hawks started out 4-0 in its Patriot League slate, but has lost the last two matches to Colgate and American, the top two teams in the conference.
- Lehigh rank fifth in the Patriot League with a .172 hitting percentage. They are 6-0 this season in matches with a .200 or higher hitting percentage.
