WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point swimming and diving program is set to announce a coaching change effective Friday.
Tony Lisa, a long-time coach at Rowan University, and former Army assistant from 2007-2009, is coming out of retirement to resume coaching duties for the Black Knights.
"Tony is an iconic coach who did an amazing job when he coached with us previously," said head coach Mickey Wender. "We are so grateful to welcome him back to the Army swimming and diving family."
"It is an honor to be back at West Point," stated Lisa. "The opportunity to work with this team again is exciting and I'm really looking forward to working with Coach Wender and his staff."
Additionally, Eric Bugby will be leaving West Point to assume a coaching position at Denver.
"I want to personally thank Eric for five-plus years of exceptional service to our program," said Wender. "I've really enjoyed the coaching partnership we've established through his two stints coaching on our staff. We wish him the very best in his new role at Denver."
