January 28, 2016 | Women's Tennis
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team will start its 2016 spring season at home this Friday and Saturday. The Black Knights welcome Binghamton and Sacred Heart the first day before Seton Hall visits the Lichtenberg Tennis Center the next day. The matches on Jan. 29 are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the Bearcats first up on Friday. The Pirates and Black Knights first serve will be at 12 p.m. on Jan. 30.
None of the four teams have played yet this spring. Army was supposed to begin play last week, but the inclement weather cancelled trips to Syracuse and NJIT.
"We've had some really strong practices the last three weeks," said head coach Paul Peck. "I like the level we're playing at right now. This weekend will be a good measure as to where we are and what we need to work on."

Senior captain Hannah Liljekvist returns to lead the Pirates in her final season. She earned All-BIG EAST honors for the second straight year last season. NEW VISITOR POLICY
New policies have been put in place regarding visitors to West Point. If you possess a valid Department of Defense issued identification card, this new requirement does not affect your ability to enter military installations.
Acceptable alternate forms of identification are a U.S. passport, a permanent resident card/Alien Registration Receipt Card (form 1-551), a foreign passport with a temporary I-551 stamp or visa or an employment authorization document that contains a photograph (Form I-766).
