WEST POINT, N.Y. – Coming off a 3-0 victory over conference foe Holy Cross, the Army West Point volleyball team will continue Patriot League play Friday, Sept. 25, when the Black Knights travel to Colgate for a 6 p.m. contest.
"We are looking forward to the competition against a very good Colgate team," said head coach Alma Kovaci. "It will be an intense battle between us since both teams are very similar. Our goal is to control our side of the court and focus on one point at a time. We must also continue to work as a team and be the best teammates we can be. Our team doesn't have superstars, but we are athletic and rely on each other to succeed. We will continue to focus on getting one percent better every time we step onto the court."
The Black Knights enter the match 9-5 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Carolyn Bockrath has been a constant for the Black Knights with a .465 hitting percentage, which ranks her No. 4 in the country and No. 1 in the conference.
