Golf Places Fifth at Doc Gimmler

BETHPAGE, N.Y. – The Army West Point golf team placed fifth at its first tournament of the 2015-16 season, the Doc Gimmler at the Bethpage State Course. The Black Knights went 10-over with a team score of 277-285-288—850. Marcus Plunkett led the Cadets at one-under par.
Plunkett carded a 69-69-71—209 to tie for fourth. Peter Kim was Army's second-best finisher after totaling 70-68-72—210 (E).
Dean Sakata placed tied for 25th after recording a 68-72-74—214 (+4). Matt Plunkett was nine-over with scores of 70-76-73—219, while Nick Turner carded a 72-76-72—220 (+10).
