TEAM
Boston College now leads the all-time series with Army 25-13.
Army is now 56-91-3 all-time against teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Army will return to Michie Stadium to host Eastern Michigan, Sat. Oct. 12 at noon.
The Black Knights lost for the first time this season when not turning the ball over. Army had a total of zero turnovers in its victories over Morgan State and Louisiana Tech.
OFFENSE
Army has now scored on its first possession in five out of six games with three touchdowns and two field goals. Army punted on its first possession against Wake Forest and kicked field goals opposite Stanford and Boston College.
Army had 13 players with at least one rushing attempt.
For the first time since 1946 when records are complete, Army connected on a 70-yard passing score and ran for an 80-yard touchdown in the same game.
Center Ryan Powis started his 13th consecutive game and the 23rd of his career, the most of anyone on the offense.
Army started the same five men on the line for the sixth consecutive game: Michael Kime (left tackle), Stephen Shumaker (left guard), Powis, Zach Reichert (right guard) and Justin Gilbert (right tackle).
Angel Santiago hit Xavier Moss with a 75-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It marked the 10th-longest pass in Army history and the longest since a 78-yard completion from Zac Dahman to Jacob Murphy on Oct. 10, 2004.
The long completion marked Moss’ first career touchdown.
Larry Dixon’s 80-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter was his longest career rush. It was also tied for ninth among Academy long rushes and was the longest Army rush since Colin Mooney picked up 81 yards against Buffalo on Oct. 18, 2008.
Dixon eclipsed 100 yards rushing for the third time this season and seventh time in his career.
Freshman QB Tevin Long made his career debut under center. Long ran three times for 11 yards on Army’s last possession.
DEFENSE
Jarrett Mackey made the 22nd start of his career and fifth consecutive. Mackey leads the defense in career starts.
Thomas Holloway made 10 tackles, the second time this season and fifth time in his career that he registered double-digit stops.
Julian Holloway’s 10 total tackles and seven solo stops were both career highs. It marked the second straight week that Holloway registered a career high.
Senior Colby Miller made the first three tackles of his career.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Daniel Grochowski kicked two field goals in the first half, extending his streak of consecutive made field goals to seven.
