Football Garners Nine Spots on Preseason Athlon Sports All-Conference Team

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point football has nine players featured on the preseason Athlon Sports' 2026 American All-Conference Teams.

Additionally, offensive lineman Brady Small earned preseason fourth-team All-American accolades from the publication.

Small, a two-time first-team all-conference selection, was named to Athlon Sports' first team all-conference team.Â

On the other side of the line of scrimmage, defensive lineman Jack Bousum claimed first-team all-conference defensive honors, after a breakout sophomore season that saw him tie for the team-high in both tackles for loss and sacks a season ago.

Quarterback Cale Hellums earned a spot on the offensive second-team after starting in 10 games under center in 2025 and compiling 1,223 rushing yards on the season, becoming just the eighth Army rusher to reach that mark. Offensive lineman Paolo Gennarelli joined him on the second-team list after starting in 11 games last year. Meanwhile, defensive lineman Kody Harris-Miller and defensive back Jaydan Mayes each made the defensive second-team.

After winning Wasabi Fenway Bowl Offensive MVP honors and scoring two touchdowns in the bowl game in 2025, running back Godspower Nwawuihe was named to the offensive third-team.Â

Punter James Wagenseller collected 43.12 yards per punt a season ago and was named a third-team specialist by the magazine, and wide receiver Brady Anderson rounded out the group by being named to the fourth-team.
