Jacob McDougle joined the Army West Point cross country and track & field coaching staff in 2015. In addition to his post as assistant coach, McDougle serves as recruiting coordinator for the Black Knights.

In 2018, he helped guide the Black Knights to their second consecutive Patriot League Cross Country Championship. The success continued into 2019, when Army wom the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championship.

Prior to his time at West Point, McDougle spent two years as the recruiting assistant for the Nebraska track & field and cross country programs. Before earning his administrative position with the Huskers, he served as a volunteer coach for the track and field and cross country programs at Nebraska.

McDougle joined the Huskers after graduating from the University of New Hampshire in May 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. As an athlete with the Wildcats, he was a nine-time America East Conference scorer in the 800 meters, 1,000 meters, 4x800 meters and 4x400 meters.

McDougle has achieved numerous professional certifications, including USATF Level 1 Certification, USTFCCCA Endurance Specialist Certification and USTFCCCA Track and Field Technical Certification.
