Indoor 2019-20: Opened the season with wins in the 500m and 4x400m at the Crowell Open...won the 4x400m, finished second in the 5000m and fourth in the 400m at the Keydet Invitational...won the 4x400m and finished 13th in the 800m at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic...finished second in the 500m and 4x400m at the Army-Navy Star Meet...placed third in the 500m at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational...won the 4x800m, finished second in the 4x400m and third in the 800m at the Patriot League Championships.
Outdoor 2019: Opened the outdoor season with a third place finish in the 400m at the Ben Brown Invitational...placed second in the 4x400m relay and third in the 800m run at the UC Irvine Spring Break Classic...placed fourth in the 4x400m relay at the Penn Challenge...placed second in the 4x400m relay and fourth in teh 400m at the Army-Navy Star Meet...won the 4x800m relay, placed third in the 4x400m relay and placed fourth in the 800m run at the Patriot League Championships...closed out the year with a personal best 2:09.85 in the 800m at the ECAC Championships.
Indoor 2018-19: Finished sixth in the 4x400m relay and ninth in the 400m at the Nittany Lion Challenge...placed fifth in the 4x400m relay at the Keydet Invitational...placed third in the 500m at the Army-Navy Star Meet...placed third in the 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay and fifth in the 500m at the Patriot League Championships.
PERSONAL: Tovkach joins the Black Knights from Eastside High School (FL)...National Merit Scholar finalist...FHSAA All-State Academic Team member...Eastside High School Hall of Fame class of 2018 for athletics...3X track team captain...major is chemical engineering.
