Prior to West Point: Competed in high school basketball at Gig Harbor High School, located in Gig Harbor, Washington… Was named team captain as a sophomore in 2023 and held position through 2026… Holds the GHHS career records in points (1,533), total rebounds (863), defensive rebounds (557), offensive rebounds (306) and free throws made (361)… Also holds the school’s season records in points (620), total rebounds (345), defensive rebounds (218), offensive rebounds (127), rebounds per game (12.1), field goals made (229) and free throws made (153), plus owns the single-game records in rebounds (23), defensive rebounds (16), free throws made (20) and free throws attempted… Named the Puget Sound League Narrows MVP and Tacoma-Pierce Athletic Commission’s Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Year in 2026… Received Puget Sound League Narrows First Team honors (2025), South Sound League Second Team honors (2024), WIBCA All-State Team honors (2026), WIBCA Futures Team honors (2025) and was named to the South Sound All-Star Team twice (2025-26)… Earned AAU experience at Friends of Hoop Seattle-Nike EYBL Champions League… Off the court, Masini was a member of the National Honor Society, the Peninsula School District Student Athlete Leadership Council and the Order of the Arrow, plus was an Eagle Scout and a class senator… He earned a two varsity letters in Community Service (2024-25) and was an inaugural member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society… Masini’s father, COL (Ret.) Brendan Masini, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 2001 and played baseball… His brother, Cadet Brendan Masini Jr., will graduate the Academy in 2027… His grandfather, Dennis Pogany, played football and graduated from the Academy in 1969 and ended his service as a captain… Masini's great uncle, COL (Ret.) Richard Belt, served in the Army and graduated from the Academy in 1940… His great grandfather, LTC (Ret.) Harry Murray, served in the Army… Three other of his great grandfathers served in the military: Charles Scallon (Navy), Peter Masini (Army) and Steven Pogany (Army).
