2017: Appeared in 13 games in his first season with the Black Knights ... tallied four points on two goals and two assists ... scored his first collegiate goal and point against VMI (2/20) ... scored his second goal of the year opposite Lafayette (3/4) ... added assists against NJIT (3/13) and Bucknell (4/1) ... picked up four ground balls and caused a turnover.
Prior to West Point: Played lacrosse at La Salle Academy in Rhode Island for head coach Steven O’Donnell … three-time Rhode Island All-American and All-State selection … named La Salle’s Freshmen Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2012 and won the award as a senior as well.
Personal: Matthew Manown started playing lacrosse when he was six … lacrosse is a Manown family tradition as his father played at Brown … brother plays at Duke and another brother played lacrosse at Hartford … major is undeclared.
