Evan Plunkett, Sean Byrne Named Inside Lacrosse Mid-Season Media All-Americans

BALTIMORE, Md. – No. 18 Army West Point men's lacrosse seniors Evan Plunkett and Sean Byrne earned recognition on Friday as Inside Lacrosse Mid-Season Media All-Americans. Plunkett earned a spot on the First Team while Byrne brough home Third Team honors.
Plunkett and Byrne have been anchors at opposite ends of the field for the Army lineup this season as the Black Knights worked towards their 7-3 record in the team's 109th season of action.
Plunkett paces all Army scorers with 33 points from 13 goals and a team-high 20 assists while Byrne holds down the fort in goal to the tune of 132 total saves and a .608 save percentage.
The Black Knights earned preseason recognition from the Patriot League on both ends of the field as Plunkett collected the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year title and Byrne earned the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year honor.
In the media, Plunkett earned recognition as a Nike Lacrosse Media First Team Preseason All-American while Byrne earned recognition as a Nike Lacrosse Media Second Team Preseason All-American in January.
As of April 3, Plunkett stands tied for 15th career points in program history with 157 with 78 career assists ranking him tied for seventh in program history. Byrne stands second in the nation in save percentage and boasts 365 career saves to his record.
The Black Knights continue their 2026 campaign on Saturday, April 4 at Bucknell.
