Baseball’s Josiah Overbeek Named to John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Watch List

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Army West Point Baseball's Josiah Overbeek has been named the watch list for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award by the College Baseball Foundation on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Overbeek had been named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week after hitting two home runs and recording a win and a save on the mound in Army's series sweep at Queens February 27-March 1.
The freshman's .368 AVG and 1.414 OPS lead the Black Knights, as does 1.93 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and .125 opponent AVG.
2026 is the second consecutive year an Army player has been named to the watch list for the John Olerud Award, with Justin Lehman being named a finalist for the accolade a season.
Overbeek is one of 49 two-way players on this year's watch list, and one of just 14 freshmen.
