Rankin, McDaniel, and McKane Earn Patriot League Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point swimming & diving earned three of the Patriot League's weekly awards after a sweep over the Loyola Maryland Greyhounds. Kohen Rankin earned the Men's Swimmer of the Week title, Jack McDaniel earned the Men's Diver of the Week title, and Angie McKane earned the Women's Swimmer of the Week title.
Rankin put up big points for the Black Knights with three first place wins in Baltimore from a 1:26.00 in the men's 200 medley relay, a 52.78 in the men's 100 breast, and a 1:57.20 in the men's 200 breast.
McDaniel earned two top finishes on the boards for Army with a 313.35 to finish first on the one-meter board and a 302.77 on the three-meter board to finish second just behind teammate Alex Zhang (305.63).
McKane was a key piece for the Black Knights on the women's side with a trio of top finishes including a first place finish in the women's 200 medley relay (1:41.16), a first place finish in the women's 100 fly (53.28) and a second place finish in the women's 100 breast (1:02.82) behind teammate Catriona Gilmore who swam a 1:02.17.
McKane's 100 fly time of 53.28 set a new pool record at the Mangione Aquatics Center.

Army returns home to host the Army Invite in early February before heading to the Patriot League Championships over Feb. 18-21st in Annapolis, Md.
