LEWISBURG, Pa. — Army West Point men's basketball (8-12, 2-5) snapped its losing streak on Wednesday night, with Jackson Furman hitting a buzzer-beater in overtime to defeat the Bucknell University Bison (6-14, 3-4), 87-84.
The win also marks the first time since the 2021-22 season that the Black Knights have beaten the Bison inside Sojka Pavilion, with Army earning a 96-89 victory in Lewisburg on January 4, 2022.
It is also the second time in three games against the Bison that the two teams have battled in overtime, with Army claiming both overtime victories. The other overtime game was a 116-110 triple-overtime thriller inside Christl Arena last season, with the Black Knights earning the win, the highest-scoring game in Patriot League history.
Four Black Knights finished the game in double figures, with Jaxson Bell led Army with 18 points. Jacen Holloway scored 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting, went 5-of-5 at the line, and contributed four assists, two steals and one block.

Ryan Curry was the final Black Knight to finish in double-digits, adding 14 points, all in the second half and overtime, while dishing out two assists.
How It Happened
The Black Knights shook off an early deficit and found their rhythm from the outside, with Jackson Furman knocking down two early 3-pointers to ignite the offense.
Army surged in front for good at the 15:48 mark when Furman connected again from deep, starting a stretch in which the Black Knights pushed the margin to double digits.
Army's bench provided an immediate spark midway through the half. Jorn Everson drilled a 3-pointer moments after checking in, and Joshua Eli followed with a corner three to extend the lead to 17–10.
The Black Knights continued to share the ball, getting assists on most of their baskets as Kevin McCarthy and Jaxson Bell also connected from long range.
Bucknell answered with timely shooting of its own, cutting into the deficit behind Pat Curtin and Achile Spadone, but Army consistently responded. Bell steadied the lead at the free-throw line and later buried a 3-pointer to make it 35–23 with 7:35 remaining, keeping momentum on Army's side.
Despite a late Bucknell push, Army closed the half strong. Jacen Holloway attacked the rim for a layup and converted a free throw in the final minute, and Everson capped the half with a basket in the closing seconds to send the Black Knights into the locker room up six, 45-39.
Bucknell opened the second half with an early 3-pointer to cut into Army's halftime lead, but the Black Knights responded quickly. Jacen Holloway attacked the basket for an early layup, and Tate Laczkowski finished inside to keep Army in front as Bucknell applied pressure.

Ryan Curry knocked down a key 3-pointer at the 15:07 mark, and later converted another from deep to halt a Bucknell run. The Black Knights also protected the rim, getting blocks from Jackson Furman and Holloway to prevent Bucknell from pulling away.
The lead changed hands repeatedly in the final 10 minutes. Joshua Eli steadied Army at the free-throw line during a critical stretch, while Holloway continued to attack off the dribble, converting baskets and drawing fouls.
After Bucknell regained the lead with under five minutes remaining, Curry again answered, drilling a 3-pointer to keep the Black Knights within striking distance.
Down two late, Army showed composure. Curry tied the game at 78 with a jumper in the lane with 35 seconds left, and after Bucknell regained the lead in the final moments, Jaxson Bell calmly sank two free throws with two seconds remaining to knot the score at 80-80.
Bucknell's final look from beyond the arc missed at the buzzer, sending the game to overtime with Army carrying momentum after surviving a tightly contested second half.
The Black Knights opened overtime with stops on the defensive end, as Jaxson Bell and Tate Laczkowski controlled the glass to deny Bucknell second chances. After several empty possessions on both sides, Army broke through at the free-throw line.
Laczkowski drew a foul with 2:49 remaining and calmly knocked down both free throws to give Army an 82–80 edge.
Bucknell answered with a basket to pull within one, but Army continued to generate pressure defensively. Jackson Furman picked off a pass to halt a Bucknell possession, and the Black Knights forced multiple turnovers to keep the game within reach.
With Bucknell regaining the lead late on free throws, Army responded in kind. Ryan Curry was fouled with 33 seconds remaining and converted both attempts at the line to tie the game at 84, setting the stage for a final possession.
After a missed Bucknell layup in the closing seconds, Army secured the rebound and pushed the ball up the floor.
Furman rose up from beyond the arc right before the buzzer and buried the go-ahead 3-pointer, giving the Black Knights an 87–84 lead, with Curry assisting on the decisive basket. With no time on the clock, Bucknell had no time to respond, and Army snapped its five-game losing streak.
