Hellums Named to Davey O'Brien Great 8 List For Week 2

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point junior quarterback Cale Hellums was named to the Davey O'Brien Great 8 list for his performance in Army's 24-21 win over Kansas State on Saturday night.
Hellums made his starting debut and delivered, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 2:52 remaining, giving Army the 24-21 advantage.
The Tomball, Texas native also passed 7-for-11 for 43 yards and a touchdown.
Hellums' 41 total rushes were the most by any player in a single game in program history.
It marked consecutive weeks that the Army starting QB has eclipsed 100 yards on the ground.
Hellums is now officially added to the Davey O'Brien Award's Midseason Watch List. With the additions, that list now stands at 46 members.
