Golf Falls to NC State at Bush Cup VII

DURHAM, N.C. - The Army West Point golf team took on NC State on Tuesday at Old Chatham Golf Club in the Bush Cup VII with the Wolfpack earning the 8.5-3.5 victory.

The Black Knights started well in the foursomes matches with John Heckel Jr. and Dragon Theam winning 1-up in the opening match of the day. Drew Jeffords and Tyson Sparks also came out on top in their match against the Wolfpack with a 2-up victory.

NC State was able to earn the victory with wins in six of the singles matches. Tyson Sparks earned a win for Army in the fourth singles spot with a 1-up victory, while Rob Ferris halved his match.

The Black Knights return to action on Monday at the Moutaineer Invitational at Pete Dye Golf Club.
