Five Athletes Named to Women’s Track and Field Academic All-League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Mikayla Cheney, Emily Fink, Jordan Hecht, Claire Lewis and Charlotte Richman were selected as members of the Patriot League Academic All-League Team.
The five honorees are a part of the 19-member team, with Army West Point contributing the most members on the Academic All-League Team this season.
Voting for the Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Women's Academic All-Patriot League Team is conducted by the League men's indoor track and field sports information directors.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
Mikayla Cheney earns the award as a junior after medaling in three events at the Patriot League Championships. Cheney anchored a record-breaking 4x800m relay (8:40.03), which set not only a program record but also a meet record. She also placed second in the mile with a 4:40.71 time, also a program record and fourth in the 3000m.
Emily Fink adds to resume in her final season after gaining a gold medal at the championship meet and finishing second in the weight. Also throughout the indoor season, she was named Patriot League Women's Field Athlete of the Week three times.
Sophomore Jordan Hecht earns her first academic team honor after also placing second in the women's shot put just behind Emily Fink.
Claire Lewis also wins the award after finishing third in the 5000m run with a 16:45.05 final time.
Finally, Charlotte Richman rounds out the group of five after a fantastic championship meet, placing second in both the 5000m and 3000m and third in the mile.
