BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 6 Army West Point men's lacrosse senior Jackson Eicher earned his second Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week title on Monday after a remarkable performance, scoring six goals in Army's 13-12 win over No. 5 North Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
Eicher also took home the award on February 10.
Eicher leads the Black Knights with 30 goals this season. He ranks third in the Patriot League in goals per game (3.33) and second in points per game (5.89).
Eicher scored three consecutive goals, including two difficult and impressive top-shelf shots for the Black Knights to retake the lead, 7-6 in the first half.
Eicher scored four first-half goals, his fifth hat trick of the season. In the third quarter, the Eicher show continued as he scored twice more as Army took a 12-10 lead into the final 15 minutes.
Army has won in back-to-back seasons over North Carolina, defeating them in Chapel Hill last season, 13-12.
The win is Army's seventh win over a top-10 opponent since 2021 and its first over a top-five opponent since defeating No. 4 Maryland in the NCAA Tournament in 2023.
Army will hit the road on Saturday to Hamilton, N.Y. to battle Colgate at 2:00 pm.
