Men's Tennis Takes Down Hofstra at Home

WEST POINT, NY – Army West Point men's tennis (5-4, 0-1 Patriot League) secured a 4-2 victory over the Hofstra Pride (3-3, 0-0 CAA) on Saturday afternoon from the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
After dropping the doubles point, Alan Ton got the Black Knights started on the singles courts with a convincing 6-3, 6-4 victory to get Army on the board. The Black Knights fell behind 2-1, needing to win three more singles bouts to secure the victory.
After dropping the first set 6-1, Jack Hanna stormed back to win the second set 6-3 and the third 6-0 to even up the match.
Matías Feoli faced a tiebreak in the second set after dropping the first, clutching up and getting the win to force a third set. Feoli went on to take the third set 6-0 to prime Army's comeback.
Jackson Armistead went back and forth on court one, but clutched up with a tiebreak win in set one and faced another tiebreak in set two, winning that one as well to clinch the match for the Black Knights.
