Women’s Soccer Travels to Chester, Pa. to Face off against Navy in Star Series Match

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's soccer will travel down the I-95 to take on archrivals the Navy Midshipmen (8-5-1, Patriot League, 1-2-1) in the Star Series match part of the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Subaru Park in Chester Pa.
The Army Black Knights (8-4-1, Patriot League 2-2-0) will be playing in a neutral site game against the Midshipmen for the first time since 2011. The game will be played as the first part of a doubleheader, which will see the Black Knights compete against the Navy Midshipmen in men's soccer at 7 p.m.

- The Black Knights will face off against Navy in the annual Army-Navy Cup on Oct. 10.
- For the first time in program history, the game will feature a double header with the men's teams at Subaru Field in Chester, Pa., where the MLS Philadelphia Union play
- Army has won the last three Star Matches against Navy and has a not lost a contest against the Midshipmen since 2021
- Head Coach Tracy Chao is 4-1-0 against Navy in her tenure at West Point
- The Black Knights also hold the slight edge against Navy in neutral site games with a 2-1-0 record, when the star series is held away from Annapolis or West Point
- The two teams saw each other twice last season with the Black Knights taking both contests by scores of 4-0 and 1-0 both at West Point.
- The Army Black Knights will be wearing their third jersey. The Army Green jerseys for the third time this season.
- The Black Knights are undefeated when wearing the green jersey.
- Army wore the green jerseys against Air Force and North Texas earlier this season at Malek Stadium
- While, soccer goes into their offseason in the spring, Firstie Brigid Duffy turns in her soccer cleats for a lacrosse stick and stars for the Army Women's Lacrosse team. She will be staring for the Black Knights on the pitch for her final season in an Army uniform after being named the All-Patriot League Second Team a season ago.
- Duffy was spectacular for the Black Knights scoring her second and third goals of the season. Both goals were game-winning goals, with the first one coming against Air Force at home and the second in a come-behind win in the 89th minute against the UAlbany Great Danes.
- Following up on this success, Duffy, against the North Texas Mean Green, earned her second career brace, with two goals. Duffy earned her third game-winning goal in the process
- With the two goals, she currently sits at 59 points for her career. She has scored 26 goals and sits in 10th place all time for career goals and career points. Both records previously held by Holly Fishburne (West) at 24 goals.
- Additionally, with her brace last time out against the Colgate Raiders, she moved into a tie for 8th for career game-winning goals with current AI 2Lt. Kaelan Bradley
- Duffy leads the Patriot League in goals (10), game-winning goals (5) and shots (53)
- Head Coach Tracy Chao hit the 50-win mark during her Army Head Coaching career against Colgate, in a 3-0 victory last Saturday at Malek Stadium
