Sprint Football Shuts Out St. Thomas Aquinas on Senior Night to Stay Perfect

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point sprint football extended its unbeaten streak to six games Friday night with a commanding 56-0 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas (1-5) at Shea Stadium.
Quarterback Kyle West led the Black Knights' offensive onslaught, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns while adding a rushing score. Jeff Ryder added two more passing touchdowns completing all five of his attempts for 51 yards.
Army West Point (6-0) secured 527 total yards, including 249 on the ground. JP Ross paced the rushing attack with 64 yards and a touchdown, while Coleman Brooke and Kyle West each added scores on the ground. Parker Williams hauled in five passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
The Black Knights scored in every quarter, building a 28-0 lead by halftime and adding 28 more points after the break. Army converted 7 of 9 red-zone opportunities into touchdowns and averaged 6.8 yards per play.
Defensively, Army stifled St. Thomas Aquinas, holding the Spartans to just 119 total yards and minus-30 rushing yards. Joseph Sobeski led the charge with 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks, while the unit combined for three sacks and seven tackles for loss.
Nicholas Cueto was perfect on extra points, going 8-for-8, and added a 23-yard punt and 477 yards on kickoffs.
