Sprint Football Gallops to Win Over Penn

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point sprint football methodically took down the Penn Quakers 38-0 Friday night at Shea Stadium.
Quarterback Kyle West went 19-for-28 passing with 277 yards and four scores through the air, before giving way to signal callers Jeff Ryder and Max Sinkovic in the second half.
Army moves to 3-0 on the season.
On the ground, Coleman Brooke (39 yards) and JP Ross (32 yards) led Army.
The Black Knight defense pitched its second consecutive shutout and have outscored all opponents a combined 65-21. The Quakers never crossed midfield all evening, with their best field position being their own 45-yard line on their fourth drive of the game.
Army forced four turnovers Friday night, with fumble recoveries by William Lewis and William French, and Louis Petkus and Ryan Hagg interceptions.
The home team started fast, with a 72-yard kickoff return by Calen Mcgarity to the Penn 17.
After not successfully cashing on the short field, West then hit Carson McFadden for a 55-yard touchdown on Army's second series, making it 7-0 with 8:20 to go in the opening quarter.
Two drives later, it was Parker Williams on the receiving end of a West touchdown pass, this time for 70 yards to make it 14-0 late in the first quarter.
Cason Mackie found paydirt twice in the second quarter as Army went into the locker room up 28-0, with 32 and 21-yard touchdown receptions.
Kicker Nicholas Cueto connected on a 22-yard field goal midway through the third quarter to make it 31-0. Cueto was also 5-for-5 on extra points Friday night.
Ryder found Steven Craig later in the quarter for his first career touchdown pass, a 22-yard pass to make it 38-0.
