Wrestling Heads to Lehman Open and LIU

LANCASTER, Pa. – Fresh off a team title at the Southern Scuffle, Army West Point Wrestling is set to compete twice this weekend.
The Black Knights will have a contingent at Friday's David Lehman/Franklin & Marshall Tournament, before returning to EIWA dual meet action Sunday at LIU.
Friday's action from Franklin & Marshall begins at 9:00 a.m. and will run straight through until completion. FloWrestling will stream the competition, and live stats can be tracked on FloArena.
Army will look to improve its 4-1 dual record and 1-0 mark in the EIWA Sunday at LIU. That match will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
Gunner Filipowicz secured the 165 lb championship at last weekend's Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn. Additionally, Army's nine podium finishers propelled the squad to an overall title.
Filipowicz was named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week January 8.
The Black Knights were last in dual action December 13 at first-year EIWA member Morgan State, and dispatched the Bears 43-6 behind seven bonus point bout wins.
Seven wrestlers featured in this week's InterMat rankings, while Army slotted at No. 24 in the dual rankings.
