Football to Kick Off 2025 Season vs. Tarleton State

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point Black Knights football team will kickoff the 2025 season by hosting the Tarleton State Texans (NCAA D-I FCS, United Athletic Conference) at Michie Stadium. The date and time for the season-opening contest will be announced in the coming weeks.
The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
It will be Army's first meeting vs. the Texans.
Tarleton State is coming off a 10-4 season in 2024 in which they advanced to the FCS playoffs for the first time, winning its first-round matchup.
Army finished a perfect 6-0 in the regular season at Michie Stadium for the fourth time under Head Coach Jeff Monken (2017, 2018, 2020) and won a seventh time in the AAC Championship Game at Michie Stadium in 2024. The Black Knights won its first-ever conference championship defeating Tulane to win the American Athletic Conference, in its first season as a league member.
Army is 44-17 (.721%) at home under Monken (2014-pres.)
Under Monken, Army is 9-2 in home openers.
