Manse Named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, PA - Army West Pount men's track & field junior thrower Robby Manse was named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week, as announced today by the league.
Manse began the indoor season with a strong showing at the West Point Open this past weekend, setting a new personal-best with a 17.52m shot put mark. The throw put Manse into fourth on Army's all-time list as he tabbed second-place in the event. He also paced Army in the weight throw with an 18.54m distance to claim second.
Manse placed second at last season's Patriot League Indoor Championships in shot put with a 17.05m mark, which was tops among all returners in the conference.Â
The Black Knights will return on Saturday with a trip to Penn State University to compete in the Nittany Lion Challenge.Â
