George Enlges Selected for USA Men’s U20 Rugby Team

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The announcement arrived on Wednesday, bringing well-deserved recognition for sophomore George Engles, who secured a spot on the USA Men's U20s North American Qualifier Traveling Roster.
Engles emerged from a competitive selection process, standing out among 52 identified players. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the sole athlete from a Service Academy to earn a place on this prestigious roster.
Head coach Johannes Neethling Gericke commended Engles, affirming, "George's performance during the winter camp and consistently throughout the D1A season has been exceptional. His prowess on the field is evident, and we eagerly anticipate his contributions on the international stage."
Engles, along with the rest of the traveling squad, is slated to touch down in Bellingham, WA on May 18, embarking on a 10-day training regimen at the esteemed deWilde Rugby & Polo Fields before journeying to Canada for the qualifier series.
