Four Black Knights Named USILA All-Americans

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Four Black Knights were named All-Americans by USILA as voted by the coaches. Will Coletti and Evan Plunkett were named to the first team, AJ Pilate made second team, and Jacob Morin was named an honorable mention.
This is the first time since 1983 that the Black Knights have two first team selections when Frank Giordano and George Slabowski both made the first team.
All four Black Knights have been named All-Americans by all three major selectors (USA Lacrosse Magazine, Inside Lacrosse, USILA).
Coletti earns first team honors after setting the program record for career ground balls and faceoff wins. He took home Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the week four times, culminating in PL Faceoff Specialist of the Year honors. On the year he scooped up 117 ground balls and won 215 faceoffs. He also scored a career high eight goals.
Plunkett was named to the first team after a monster season that saw him win Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the first midfielder to win the award since 1997. He had six games with a hat trick and had nine games with at least four points.
Pilate made the second team after becoming the first Army defender to win back to back Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year awards since Bill Henderson in 2010-11. He led the team with 23 caused turnovers this season and won PL Defensive Player of the Week twice.
Morin was named an honorable mention after scoring 27 goals and dishing out eight assists this season. He had six games with a hat trick and was named to the first team All-Patriot League team.
