LAST TIME OUT
Army hosted Lehigh this past weekend in their last home series of the season. The Black Knights were able to secure the first game, 3-1, but fell in the final two; 10-2 and 5-3.Â
Game 1:Â
- Army's Olivia Farris pitched a hitless and scoreless opening inning.
- Army took an early lead in the bottom of the first with RBI singles from Ashton White and Lauren Little.
- Lehigh scored in the third inning, reducing the gap to one run.
- A pitching duel unfolded until Army extended their lead in the bottom of the sixth with another RBI from Lauren Little.
- Army's relief pitcher Breanna Izzo sealed the victory, ending Lehigh's 17-game winning streak and undefeated record in the conference.
Game 2:Â

- Army lost to Lehigh 5-3 in the rubber match.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Army and St. Johns share a brief history, having crossed paths only 13 times since the establishment of both programs, with their initial encounter tracing back to 1982.
St. Johns has maintained dominance throughout the series, boasting 12 victories over the Black Knights, while Army secured just one win.
Their most recent meeting transpired in 2008. Army suffered defeats in both matches of the series, with scores of 8-0 and 9-1.
TEAM AND PLAYER NOTES
Sophomore Caitlyn Newburn added her fourth and fifth home runs of the season, propelling her to the team lead with five homers this season.
Last week, Breanna Izzo, Army's primary relief pitcher, secured her first and second saves of the season, making her the lone Black Knight pitcher with saves to her name.
Ashton White now boasts a team-leading .372 batting average, placing her fifth in the Patriot League. Additionally, she leads the team in total RBIs, amassing 34 thus far in the season.
Kayla Edwards currently tops the team with 57 total hits, closely trailed by White with 51.
On the pitching front, Izzo holds the lowest ERA on the team at 3.99 and leads in strikeouts with 46.
Olivia Farris leads in wins as a pitcher with four so far this season.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTÂ
St. John's head coach, Michelle DePolo, returns to West Point for the first time since 2018, when she helmed the Black Knights for nine seasons.
This season, DePolo has guided the Red Storm to a 26-25 overall record. They presently boast a 13-11 conference standing, securing the 5th spot in the conference standings and a berth in the Big East Championship playoffs.
Leading St. John's charge is London Jarrard, topping the team charts with 54 hits, 49 RBIs, and 10 home runs.
On the mound, Loreley Francia leads the Red Storm with 11 wins and recently delivered her third shutout along with her fourth double-digit strikeout performance of the season.
She also has the second lowest ERA on the team with 2.95.
