Track and Field Finishes Army Open

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point track and field team capped of the Army Open with a strong final day on Saturday.
The women had an impressive day. The 4x100 squad of Lara Westwood-Marsh, Emma Taylor, Saydee Aganus, and Chandon Foreman brought home the crown with a 46.70. The 4x400 team also won, with Cherokee Chambers, Hannah Andrews, and Foreman running a 4:02.49. Foreman continued her huge day by winning the crown in the 200m with a time of 25.13. Leah Richardson ran a 10:27.16 to win the 3000m final. Zoe Whaley won the high jump with a jump of 1.65m. Aysia Salas took home the win in shotput with a throw of 14.40m. Clarie Wimer had the best collegiate javelin throw at 37.96.
The men's 4x100 team of Shawn Carter, Brian Matthews, Javan Guevara-Cragwell, Ronald White won with a time of 42.15. The 4x400 team, Elijah Bellamy, Guevara-Cragwell, William Gregory, Owen Hoag, won at 3:20.60. Harrison Lavery won the 800m at 1:56.49. Aden Tomeo was the leader amongst collegiate competitors in the high jump at 1.80m. Ronald de Madet won the triple jump at 13.55m. The shotput was taken home by Robby Manse at 16.30m.
Next up for the Black Knights is a trip to Orlando for the UCF Black and Gold Invitational.
