Round 1 Results

DORADO, Puerto Rico – The Army West Point golf team started its 2024 spring season with the first round of the Dorado Beach Collegiate at TPC Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico.

The Black Knights currently sit in 15th place on the leaderboard after combing for a team score of 290 (+2) on Sunday. The hosts of UNC Greensboro have the lead at the end of the first round after a team score of 270 (-18). Chris Vandette of Kent State has the first-round lead on the individual leaderboard after firing an 8-under 64.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• John Heckel Jr. led the Black Knights with a 2-under 70 in the first round, which puts him in a tie for 34th place on the individual leaderboard.
• Josh Kim finished the day with an even-par 72 in his first round of the spring.
• Samuel Kim just missed an even par round and ended up 1-over with a 73 on day one.
• Patrick Song and Lake Kim finished their rounds at 2-over par in the first round, shooting 74.

Round two of the Dorado Beach Collegiate tees off on Monday at 8:30 AM from TPC Dorado Beach.
