Coletti, Pilate Win Patriot League Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League named Will Coletti Faceoff Specialist of the Week for the second consecutive week and AJ Pilate won Defensive Player of the Week after a big win over #11/12 Rutgers.

Coletti had another dominant performance in the faceoff circle going 17-25. He became the program record holder for faceoff wins in the first quarter. He currently sits at 487 wins just two games into his junior season. He also had one assist and nine ground balls. His nine ground balls moves him one ground ball away from second most in program history and five away from the program record.

Pilate took home defensive player of the week after guiding the Black Knight defense to shutdown a Scarlet Knight offense that came into the game averaging 15 goals per game. He caused three turnovers and scooped up two ground balls. He held Rutgers leading scorer Jack Aimone without a goal.

Next up for Army is the home opener against Mercer on Saturday Feb. 24 at Michie Stadium.
