Swim & Dive Set to Host Penn State and Bucknell

WEST POINT, NY - Army West Point swimming & diving returns this weekend to host a pair of dual-meets against Penn State and Bucknell from Crandall Pool. Army faces off with the Nittany Lions on Friday at 5:00 p.m. before taking on Bucknell on senior day, with competition beginning at 1:00 p.m.Â
The Patriot League matchup with the Bison will be streamed live on ESPN+, with live results available on the MeetMobile App for both meets. Firsties Bruce Bannister Jr., Joanna Conrad, Adam Elahmadi, Aurelie Migault, James Pinter, Ian Tansill, Sam Wesley and Melinda Zhang will be recognized before the Saturday tilt.

- Rankin ranks third in the Patriot League in the 200 IM, trailing only teammates Alex Edwards and Sam Wesley.
- Aurelie Migault has had a dominant season, leading the conference in the 50 breast, 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM.
- Migault's 2:09.92 mark in the 200 breast ranks 29th in the country with Catriona Gilmore ranking 40th.
- Migault's time in the 100 breast ranks 36th in the country with Gilmore landing in 41st.
- Kalvin Hahn boasts the conference's leading time in the 400 IM (3:49.04).
LAST TIME OUT
- Army shattered 11 program records at the Army-Navy Star Meet to close out the first half of the season.
- Molly Webber won three individual events while securing new Academy records in each (1000 free, 500 free, 200 free)
- Webber helped set a new program record in the 400 free relay along with Clara Williams, Grace Wagner and Melinda Zhang.
- Zhang made the most of her final Army-Navy meet, also setting a new program record in the 200 fly while tabbing second place.
- Wes Tate also broke through with a pair of wins in the 200 free and 500 free while setting new Academy records in each.
- Aurelie Migault continued her dominance with a clean sweep in her three individual events (100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM) while setting a new Academy Record in the 200 breast.
- Kohen Rankin improved his 100 breast program record-time to 52.48 while topping all Navy swimmers in the event.
- Alex Edwards had the top mark for Army in three events (100 back, 200 back, 200 IM) while claiming first-place in the 200 IM.
- Owen Harlow placed first in the 100 free (43.80) while landing second in the 50 free (19.77).
- Ben Vorthmann, Thomas Hadji, Owen Harlow and Wes Tate logged a new Patriot League record in the 400 free relay (2:53.57).
- Minh Donnell dominated the women's diving events, winning both the 1M and 3M on her way to Patriot League Diver of the Week honors following the meet.
- Isaac Newman paced the men with a third-place finish in the 3M and a fourth-place mark in the 1M.
SCOUTING THE NITTANY LIONS
- Penn State comes in 3-2 on both the men's and women's side which featured victories over Navy for both.
- Most recently, both teams placed second at the Big Al Invitational hosted by Princeton.
- Junior Victor Baganha was named  B1G Swimmer of the Week following three NCAA B-Cuts at the event.
- Freshman Abigail Ekstrom has burst onto the scene this season, earning B1G Diver and Rookie of the Week this season.
- Both teams placed eighth at last season's B1G Championships.
SCOUTING THE BISON
- The Bucknell women enter at 3-3 overall and in the conference, with victories over American, Holy Cross and Lafayette.
- The men enter at (4-2, 4-2 PL), defeating the same troika as the women along with defeating Boston University.
- John Gehrig has earned Patriot League Swimmer of the Week honors this season for the Bison, and is a two-time All-Patriot League honoree.
- On the diving side, the Bison are led by the Jackson Vinarub and Meghan Catherwood who have earned weekly honors from the league this season.
- Justin DiSanto, Andy Dorsel, Abby Doss, Chris Fabian, Gehrig, Esme Hunter, Chris Kopac and Caroline McGann are the returning all-league honorees last season.
- Bucknell placed third on both the men's and women's side at last season's Patriot League Championship.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Army men are 31-5 all-time against the Bison, as Army is currently riding an 11-meet winning streak.
- The Black Knights came out on top 170-127.5 last season in Lewisburg.
- The Army women are 8-20 all-time against Bucknell, but the teams have split the last eight meetings at 4-4.
- Army snapped a four-meet losing streak last season, defeating the Bison 202.5-97.5 on the road.
- Army traveled to Penn State last season, with the women falling 68-229 while the men were defeated 101-197.Â
- The men's team had previously met back in 1944 with Army coming out the victor.
