Men's Tennis Remains Unbeaten in Patriot League with Victories Over Lehigh and Boston

WEST POINT, NY - Army West Point men's tennis (18-10, 6-0 Patriot League) picked up a pair of conference wins over the weekend, taking down Lehigh (9-9, 2-3 Patriot League) and Boston University (11-11, 3-2 Patriot League) from Lichtenberg Tennis Center. Army remained undefeated in the conference while improving to 15-5 at home this season.
Army fell behind against the Mountain Hawks, dropping the doubles point as A.J. Woodman and Thomas Lake secured the only doubles win for the Black Knights on court one (6-2). Moving to singles, Army dominated with four straight victories to post a 4-1 win. Jake Huarte cruised to a (6-4, 6-3) win on court six before Vishnu Bodavula posted a (6-2, 6-4) victory on flight two which gave the Black Knights a 2-1 advantage. Samuel Haikal followed up with a clean (6-1, 6-2) win on court six before the match was clinched by Samuel Eden. Eden won a tiebreak in the first set before getting three straight breaks in the second set for a (7-6, 6-0) win.
The Black Knights got out to a lead against the Terriers, winning the doubles point with a pair of (6-4) victories from Huarte + Nathan Jose and Bodavula + Haikal. Boston picked up the first singles victory before Woodman made good on court one with a (6-2, 6-2) win which gave Army a 2-1 lead. Eden then secured his second win of the weekend, posting a (6-3, 7-5) win on flight four for the Black Knights. After the Terriers made it 3-2, Haikal clinched the win for Army after coming back from a set down for a (2-6, 6-4, 6-4) victory on court six.
