Men's Tennis Downs Loyola & Lafayette to Improve to 4-0 in Patriot League

WEST POINT, NY - Army West Point men's tennis (15-9, 4-0 Patriot League) posted a pair of 4-0 victories at home on Sunday versus Loyola (5-9, 1-3 Patriot League) and Lafayette (2-7, 1-2 Patriot League).
The Black Knights continued to dominate in conference play, capping a 3-0 weekend in which Army did not lose a single match. The Loyola matchup marked the first outdoor match at West Point this season before moving back indoors for the Lafayette contest.
Army set the tone early against the Greyhounds, with a trio of doubles victories to begin. A.J. Woodman and Thomas Lake continued their fine form on court one with a (6-2) win while Daniel Zhou and Jack Hanna clinched the doubles point with a (6-2) victory of their own. Jake Huarte and Nathan Jose added a (6-3) win before heading into the singles.
Zhou dropped just one game in each set on court five, picking up a (6-1, 6-1) victory to start for Army. Lake took care of business on court two with a (6-0, 6-4) showing while Huarte made good on flight three with a dominant (6-2, 6-1) win as Army started the day with a 4-0 shutout.
Moving indoors for the Lafayette matchup, a completely new lineup came ready to play for the Black Knights. Vishnu Bodavula and Samuel Eden logged a (6-2) doubles win on court one while Daniel Choi and Michael Rooney tabbed a (6-1) victory as Army won the doubles point handily.
Paul Roberts was perfect for the Black Knights in the singles, recording a (6-0, 6-0) win to give Army an early 2-0 advantage. Choi made good on flight five, registering a (6-3, 6-1) decision to take down his opponent. The match was eventually clinched by Samuel Haikal on court three, who posted a (6-2, 6-2) scoreline to give Army its second victory of the day.
