Men’s Swim Finish 9th at ECAC Championships

Annapolis, MD. – The Army West Point men's swim team finished ninth in the ECAC Championships this past weekend. Navy won the Championships with a final score of 814.4. Bucknell and Columbia finished second and third with scores of 416 and 392 respectively.
How it Happened
In the first day of events, Army's George Glover VII finished seventh in the 500 Free with a final time of 4:33.29. In the 200 IM, Freshman Nathan Jao finished third with a time of 1:48.45. Also in the 200 IM, sophomore Ryan Durkan finished tenth with a final time of 1:51.23.
Concluding day one of competition, Army placed 11th with 35 points.
In the second day of competition, Kohen Rankin won gold in the 100 Breast with a time of 52.99. Navy's Richie Trentalange finished second with a time of 54.13 and Noah Basista from Bucknell finished third with a final time of 54.55. Durkan finished fourth with a time of 55.24.
In the 200 Free, Army's Jack Mowery finished fourth with a final time of 1:38.49. Glover finished seventh in the 100 Fly with a total time of 49.47. Jao also competed in the 100 Fly finishing 12th in the finals.
At the conclusion of day two, Army was in 9th place with 99 points.
In the final day of competition, the Black Knights competed in the 200 Fly and 200 Breast.
In the 200 Fly Jack Mowery earned bronze with a final time of 1:48.07. Navy's Evan O'Dea won the event with a time of 1:45.82 and Seth Roach of Columbia won silver with a final time of 1:47.34. George Glover VII finished fifth with a time of 1:48.56. In the 200 Breast finals, Durkan finished sixth with a final time of 2:01.31.
