Bartholomay & Duffy Claim Patriot League Weekly Awards in Women's Lacrosse

BETHLEHEM, PA – Army West Point women's lacrosse picked up a pair of Patriot League weekly awards after defeating No. 19 Jacksonville on the road by a score of 12-10. Junior Lacey Bartholomay was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the week, while freshman Brigid Duffy earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week.

Army freshman Brigid Duffy had a coming-out party in Army's 12-10 victory at No. 19 Jacksonville. Duffy scored a game-high five goals to go along with two assists and a six draw controls. Duffy scored both of Army's goals in the fourth quarter, which proved to be the game-winners. Efficient in her efforts, the five goals came on just seven shot attempts. This marks the first lacrosse award for Duffy, who previously earned Rookie of the Week from the league on the soccer pitch in the fall.

Army junior Lacey Bartholomay had a career-night in the cage for the Black Knights in the win over No. 19 Jacksonville. Bartholomay set a new single-game program record with 19 saves on 29 shots faced, holding the Dolphins to 10 goals. She was busy early on, making nine stops in the first quarter on her way to 13 first half saves. Bartholomay added three ground balls to her ledger along with a caused turnover in the game.
Army returns home to host Marist on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 4:00 p.m.
