WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's lacrosse announced its 2024 schedule. Army will look to build off of a historic 2023 season that saw them win the Patriot League Tournament and reach the NCAA Quarterfinals.
The Black Knights will kick off their 2024 campaign with a neutral site matchup with UMass in Atlanta, Ga. on Feb. 10. This will be the 31st matchup with the Minutemen in program history. After that they will remain on the road for a date with Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J. on Feb. 17. The Black Knights beat the Scarlet Knights in a thrilling 14-13 victory at Michie Stadium last season.
The home opener is set for Feb. 24 against Mercer. Last season, Army made the trip down to Macon, Ga., and won 16-5. The penultimate non-conference game will be a road trip to Syracuse on Feb. 28. The Black Knights will enter the game on a two-game winning streak against the Orange. The two programs faced off every season from 2015-2022 but didn't play last season.
Army kicks off its Patriot League title defense with a road matchup with Lafayette on March 3 before opening a two-game homestand against Holy Cross (March 9) and Lehigh (March 16).
The Black Knights then hit the road to take on last season's regular season champions, Boston U on March 22, before heading down to Chapel Hill to face off with UNC for the first time since 1994 in the regular season.
Army returns home for one final homestand with a date against Colgate on Apr. 6 and then the Star Series presented by USAA on Apr. 13 vs. Navy.
The two final games of the regular season will be road trips to Bucknell on Apr. 19 and Loyola on Apr. 26.
The Patriot League quarterfinals will begin on Apr. 30, with the semifinals on May 3 and the championship game on May 5.
