Golf Continues Play at Kapolei Invitational

KAPOLEI, Hawaii - The Army West Point golf team continued play at the Kapolei Invitational on Wednesday and finished with a 2-under team score for the second round.

The Black Knights sit in a tie for 16th on the team leaderboard after the second round. Loyola Marymount is atop the leaderboard at 36-under for the tournament. Tony Hendricks of the Lions and UC San Diego's Kyle Dougherty share the individual lead at 12-under par through the first 36 holes.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Josh Kim played an exceptional second round with seven birdies and recorded a 4-under 68 to move his tournament score to 1-over through 36 holes.
• Kim had six of those seven birdies on the front nine and was 6-under when he made the turn to the back nine.
• Drew Jeffords is Army's top golfer on the individual leaderboard at 2-under through 36 holes.
• Jeffords has had back-to-back 1-under par rounds of 71 to sit in a tie for 55th on the leaderboard.
• Rob Ferris is 1-under for the tournament after he had another 1-under 71 on Wednesday that followed his even par 72 on Tuesday.
• Ferris got to the negative number with steady play on the back nine with one birdie and eight pars.
