Kapolei Final Results

KAPOLEI, Hawaii - The Army West Point golf team finished the Kapolei Invitational on Thursday and ended up in a tie for 18th on the leaderboard.

The Black Knights recorded a team score of 870 (+6) through the three-day tournament. Loyola Marymount won the team title at 58-under (806). The Lions' Trevor Algya won the individual title at 17-under par after a 7-under 65 on Thursday.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Drew Jeffords continued his great play in the final round with a 1-under 71 to finish the tournament 3-under.
• He ended up in a tie for 62nd on the leaderboard and shot two birdies and an eagle on Thursday.
• Jeffords posted even par or better during all three rounds during the week.
• Rob Ferris concluded his tournament with an even-par 72 on Thursday.
• Ferris finished the tournament at 1-under par after carding two even-par rounds and a 1-under round of 71 on Wednesday.
• He posted three birdies and an eagle on the final day.
• In total, Army had eight rounds of even par or better this week.
• Josh Kim had the low score of the tournament with a 4-under 68 on Wednesday.

The Kapolei invitational was the final tournament of the fall for the Black Knights and Army will be back in action in February at the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Puerto Rice.
