Men's Hoops Falls to Quinnipiac 67-58

WEST POINT, NY – The Army West Point men's basketball team (0-4, 0-0 PL) fell to Quinnipiac (2-1, 0-0 MAAC) 67-58 on Friday night at Christl Arena.
Ryan Curry continued to impress by scoring a team-high 15 points and three assists, he also had four boards.
The Black Knights got off to a quick start with back to back threes by Blake Barker to make it 6-0. The Bobcats followed that with a 12-4 run of their own to take the lead.
After back to back layups by Abe Johnson and TJ Small to give the Black Knights a 22-16 lead with 9:53 left in the first half, Quinnipiac would go on an 18-0 run, holding Army scoreless until a Curry three stopped the bleeding with 1:20 left in the half.
The Black Knights would head into the locker room down 36-25 at the break.
Army used a quick 5-0 spurt near the beginning of the second half to cut the deficit to 39-32. A few minutes later Curry would nail a three while being fouled for the four point play, cutting the deficit to just four with 13:39 to play.
That would be the closet Army would get in the second half, as they would fall 67-58.
Josh Scovens had an impressive game scoring eight points to go with eight boards, three blocks, and two assists.
The Black Knights will look for their first win against UAlbany who they will face on the road Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 PM at SEFCU Arena.
