Round 1 Results

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – The Army West Point golf team continued their fall season with the opening round of the Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club on Friday.

The Black Knights sit in 15th place on the team leaderboard after a team score of 307 in the opening round. Stanford leads a packed field at 10-under par following the first round and the Cardinal's Karl Vilips and Illini's Adrien Dumont de Chassart share the lead at 5-under.

TOURNAMENT NOTES:
• Dragon Theam was Army's top player after round one with an opening 18 at 6-over par.
• Army saw Marshall Daniel, Joshua Kim and James Ballato all finish round one at 7-over par as well.

The Black Knights are back in action tomorrow at Olympia Fields with the first tee time at 9 a.m. local time. Army will be playing alongside Texas and Baylor during the second round of the tournament.
