Men’s Lacrosse Announces Team Awards At Annual Banquet

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point men's lacrosse head coach Joe Alberici and his staff presented team awards at the annual banquet.
The 2022 Black Knights finished with a 12-4 overall record, which are the second most wins in program history, and went 6-2 in league play en route to earning the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament. Army advanced to the championship game for the seventh time in program history.
Army was ranked in all three national polls – USA Lacrosse, USILA, and Inside Lacrosse – and was ranked as high as fifth in the nation. The program set a record for goals in a season (225) and extended the program's consecutive home win streak to 14 games.
Five Black Knights were named to All-Patriot League teams, highlighted by Brendan Nichtern who was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. Nichtern was named an All-American by USA Lacrosse, USILA, and Inside Lacrosse, is also a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award.
