Golf Finishes Third at Shark Invitational

OLD BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - The Army West Point golf team finished the Shark Invitational on Tuesday in a tie for third on the team leaderboard.
Army had a team score of 293 (+9) on the final day of competition and ended up 28-over for the tournament. Long Island University won the team title by one stroke over Southern Illinois at 6-over. Southern Illinois' Birgir Magnusson was the individual winner as he shot 3-under through the three rounds.

The Black Knights will take a couple of weeks off before heading to the Steel Club in Hellertown Pa., hosted by Lafayette. The first of three rounds begins on April 29.

- Tom Katsenes was Army's top player at 6-over and ended up in a tie for 11th on the leaderboard.
- He had the Black Knights' best round of the day with an even par 71.
- Dragon Theam played well on his final day of the invitational and fired a 1-over 72 and finished in a tie for 15th.
- Joshua Kim and Marshall Daniel both shot a 4-over 75 on Tuesday, while John Heckel Jr. was 5-over.
- Kim finished in a tie 15th with Theam on the individual leaderboard.
