Nichtern Named As Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior attackman Brendan Nichtern has been named to the Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American Second Team announced on Thursday.
Nichtern has performed up to his numerous preseason All-American honors with his electrifying play this season as he paces the offensive attack for the nationally-ranked Black Knights. The reigning Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year leads the nation in points per game (6.44) and assists per game (3.89). He is sixth in the conference in goals per game (2.56).
Nichtern, who was named the preseason Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, has been named the offensive player of the week three times. He has notched double-digit assists through nine games.
On March 26, Nichtern became the program's career leader in points (239) and assists (143) as he helped rally Army to a 14-12 win at Loyola Maryland. He finished with a game-high seven points including five points in the fourth quarter. His career 3.11 assists per game leads all active players and his career 5.24 points per game are second among active players.
The 13th-ranked Black Knights will face Bucknell on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m.
