Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2023 Schedule

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army Black Knights men's lacrosse program has released its 2023 schedule. The 13-game schedule features seven home contests.
"I am excited for our guys and the challenges that await them with our 2023 schedule. In addition to an incredibly competitive Patriot League schedule, we have set up another strong non -conference slate of opponents" said head coach Joe Alberici.

The Black Knights kick off the season on the road on February 11, taking on UMass who they have began the season with 11 of the last 12 years.
Army's home opener will be vs. Rutgers on February 18, playing again at Michie Stadium vs. Wagner College on February 21.
Army features two marquee matchups against final four teams, battling vs. Rutgers, who went 15-4 last season and went to the final four before losing to Cornell in the Semi-finals.
The Black Knights will also play host to Cornell on April 15. Cornell finished 14-5 a season ago, finishing as the national runner-up in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament to Maryland.
Army will also feature primetime matchups televised as they play at rival Navy on April 22 at 7pm and play the reigning Patriot League Champions, Boston University at Michie Stadium on April 28 at 8:15pm.
The 2023 Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Championships will begin with the quarterfinal-round action on May 2. The semifinal round will be played on Friday, May 5. The Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Championship Game is scheduled to be played on Sunday, May 7.

Last season, the Black Knights advanced to the Patriot League finals, falling to Boston University. Army finished the season 12-4, which included a 3-1 record vs. ranked opponents. Army's signature win a season ago came defeating No. 4 ranked Cornell. Last season, Army finished No. 17 in the NCAA RPI rankings.
Army has been tabbed 22nd by USA Lacrosse Magazine in their early 2023 rankings, return a veteran squad for the 2023 season highlighted by the the core group of AJ Pilate, Reese Burek, Jacob Morin, and Will Coletti. Morin's 27 goals is the most among returning players from a season ago.
