Army Softball Releases 2023 Schedule

WEST POINT, NY – Interim Head coach Jen Consaul of Army West Point Softball unveiled the 2023 slate that features 56 games with 11 being played at the Softball Complex in West Point, NY.

The Black Knights will start the season on the road for the first several weekends, opening play at the Heart of Georgia Tournament hosted by Mercer, with the season opener slated for Friday, February 10 vs. Buffalo. While in Macon, Ga. Army will also play Hampton, Jacksonville State, Mercer and FAMU.
The following weekend (Feb. 17-19), Army will play in the Getterman Classic which is back for the first time since 2020, hosted by Baylor. The Black Knights will take on Stephen F. Austin, Longwood, Oklahoma, and Baylor.
Following an off weekend (Feb. 24-26), Army heads to Florida (March 3-6) to play in the USF Tournament, where they will compete against Kansas, Northern Illinois, University of South Carolina Upstate, Rhode Island and South Florida.
Over the weekend of March 10-12, Army will play a five game tournament at the University of North Florida, competing against Troy, UNF, and Northern Kentucky University.
In the last tournament weekend before conference play, Army will play at UNC Greensboro in the Spartan Classic, seeing action against the host team and Gardner Webb.
Army will also play a double header on March 8 in Madeira Beach, FL vs. Central Michigan, which falls in between the USF Tournament and Spartan Classic.
The Army softball team will kickoff Patriot League Conference play at the Softball Complex at West Point hosting Holy Cross in the home opener for a three-game set over the weekend of March 25-26.
Army will also have home stands vs. Patriot League opponents Bucknell (April 8-9) and Colgate (May 6-7) for three-game sets.
Other non-conference games will see Army Softball compete against Hofstra (March 29), Albany (April 5), Siena (April 13), Stony Brook (April 16), LIU (April 19), Binghamton (April 25), and Fairfield (May 3).
The 2023 Patriot League Tournament will kick off on May 11-14 and conclude with the championship series, May 19-21.
